From Ganges to Victoria via Sidney

It's Sunday and we have prime real estate--moored in the inner harbor facing the Fairmont Empress and Parliament building.

Said goodbye to Bob and Marilyn Hale in Ganges on Salt Spring Island Wednesday morning and headed for Sidney BC on Vancouver Island about 2 hours north of Victoria.

Bob & Marilyn beside their m/v Surprise early Thursday morning

A family of Mute Swans came by to see us off the dock

Beautiful flower baskets like these hang from every single piling in the
Port of Sidney Marina

Friday morning after the fog lifted, we left Sidney for Victoria

Thursday is street market day in Sidney.  We bought flowers.

A typical scene--enjoying a glass of wine on the aft deck.

Trial Island, on the south side of Vancouver Island, is on approach to Victoria Harbour

We never tire of the scene we find upon entering the Harbour

Our friends, Pam and Denis Thomas, are onboard
Impatience.  Our two boats are waiting to tie up on the same dock.

Torben talking on the radio with the Harbour Authority--it's always a bit of a fiasco getting into our slip on busy "Splash" weekend

We tied up stern to stern with Impatience which makes for good conversation.

Blanca is a fabulous boat dog.

Spencer and Laurie arrived with Keltie on Kenmore Air Friday afternoon

Keltie and Blanca are obviously quite comfortable

More fun and frivolity with friends in Victoria to follow
